JACKSON, Mo. — Shakyra Wright led New Madrid County Central in scoring with 17. However, the Lady Eagles fell to Jackson, on the road, 67-34.
NMCC (1-1) found itself down 12-6 after the first quarter and were down 11 points at halftime. The Lady Eagles, though, only scored 12 points in the third quarter, and Jackson (1-0) took a 52-26 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Madison Lambert led all scorers, with 21, for the Lady Indians. Olivia Ward added 14, while Piper Guilliams finished with 12.
